Hello!
(it’s pronounced “My-Ree”)
I am a recent graduate from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, and currently interning at the American Civil Liberties Union as a designer. I enjoy editorial, cover, and package design, along with bookmaking and other tactile, detail-oriented arts. Originally from Portland, Oregon, I now enjoy the beautiful coast of San Francisco.
On the side, I DJ for a community radio station under the moniker “World War Mairi,” bringing on eclectic guests and diving into unusual music genres. I’ve also been building a comic universe revolving around a fictional country, its soldiers, and its “Expats Union.”
My work is heavy in experimentation with handmade type, illustration, and photo manipulation. I prefer creative solutions that remain outside the box.
